HYDERABAD: In what was described as the biggest haul in recent times, a whopping amount of Rs. 2.8 crore in cash was seized by the Air Investigation Unit of the Income-Tax Department from a father-son duo who disembarked at the airport here on Thursday morning. Disclosing this at a press conference, Director-General, Income Tax (Investigations), Muntasir Ahmed said the passengers were on board Indian flight IC 940 travelling from New Delhi. Following information that they had boarded the plane in New Delhi, a team of IT officials were waiting here, and after apprehending them, found the cash in two bags booked as cabin baggage.
