DU supplementary exams schedule

NEW DELHI: Delhi University has announced the schedule for Supplementary Examinations 2006 of the B.A. (Pass) and B.Com (Pass) courses. These examinations will be for students enrolled in regular colleges as well as those who are pursuing the courses through the School of Open Learning, Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board and External Candidates Cell.

The Supplementary Examination for B.Com (Pass) will be held on October 26, while the examination for B.A (Pass) will be held on November 20.

BSF jawans donate blood

NEW DELHI: A three-day Border Security Force Welfare exhibition organised by the BSF Wives' Welfare Association (BWWA) ended at CBI Ground here on Thursday.

A blood donation camp was organised where BSF jawans donated blood. The BSF Medical Directorate had made special efforts to spread awareness about dengue and displayed larvae of dengue mosquito. `Ganhusia' fish, which eats larvae of the mosquito responsible for dengue malaria, was also displayed at the exhibition.

Sheila inaugurates ITBP exhibition

NEW DELHI: A three-day exhibition of colourfully decorated Welfare Centre stalls from all sectors and training institutions of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at CPWD Ground here on Wednesday.

Organised by ITBP's Himveer Wives Welfare Association to mark the 44th anniversary of the force, the exhibition displayed various handicrafts. Folk dances by cultural troops from Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, North-East and Jammu and Kashmir along with jazz band "Display" and dog show are among the highlight of the show.

"A great victory of justice"

NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Samiti and the Kashmiri Pandit community living in exile have expressed happiness over the conviction of Santosh Kumar Singh for the murder of Priyadarshini Mattoo.

The executive members of Kashmiri Samiti and its president L.N. Dhar expressing their gratitude to the High Court said: "This is indeed a great victory of justice and truthfulness in our democratic country."
