Puducherry: Volunteers of the Puducherry unit of the RSS and the BJP staged a demonstration here on Friday to urge the authorities to carry out the Supreme Court verdict awarding capital punishment on Afzal Guru, the convict in terror attack on Parliament in 2001. When a section of the RSS volunteers suddenly attempted to set an effigy of Afzal on fire, police intervened took them into custody.
