Testing the competitive spirit of students

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Cultural festivals never fail to add colour to college campuses. That effervescence has undoubtedly spilled over to the streets. For proof, simply look at the Bangalore calendar and you could tick off several days marked for the likes of Bangalore International Art Festival and Bangalore Habba.

While the outside world is catching up, the campuses have now gone several steps ahead. From the traditional inter-collegiate competitions, colleges and business schools have mastered the art of innovative contests that test the competitive spirit of the students. The latest on the list is "Transcend '06," the cultural fest of the city-based Alliance Business Academy. Town Hall was the venue for the Academy's annual management fest, in which postgraduate students from other institutions took part.
