GULBARGA: Tension prevailed for some time near the city Central Bus Stand after a five-hour long "rasta roko" by the Dalit Sena turned violent with miscreants damaging the windowpanes of a NEKRTC bus near the Rashtrapathi Chowk. The Dalit Sena volunteers, who were protesting against the transfer of a police inspector attached to the Ashok Nagar Police Station prevented the movement of buses from the bus stand and blocked the road for more than five hours before the senior police officials arrived on the scene and persuaded them to call off their agitation. Meanwhile, a group of miscreants stoned a bus coming from Jewargi side damaging the windowpanes causing tension. The police personnel picked up the miscreants allegedly responsible for stoning. The members of the sena were protesting against the transfer of the inspector of the Ashok Nagar police station to the State Intelligence Wing in Bangalore and shouted slogans against the city MLA Mr Chandrasekhar Patil Revoor holding him responsible for the transfer.
