Communist leader passes away

ANANTAPUR: Neelam Leelavathamma, 76, wife of late Communist leader Neelam Rajasekhara Reddy, died of cardiac arrest at her residence here in Sainagar on Saturday evening.

She was niece of former President late Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, elder brother of her husband.

She went underground along with her husband and other party leaders when the Government banned the Communist party.

She is survived by four sons.

She was buried here on Sunday.
