Chetan Anand loses in final

New Delhi: India's Chetan Anand lost 21-18, 21-12 to local favourite Przemyslaw Wacha in the final of the Polish Open badminton championship at Spala, Poland.

Top seed and World No. 25 Anand's impressive form eluded him in the final of the $10,000 tournament.

In the semifinals, Anand had to quell the challenge of Sho Sasaki of Japan 21-18, 16-21, 21-19, while Wacha had no difficulty in beating compatriot Adam Cwalina. — PTI
