JAIPUR: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Rajasthan Government has transferred 46 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, while shifting the Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of eight departments and changing two Divisional Commissioners and three District Collectors. Six IAS officers of the 1981 batch were promoted to the supertime scale and given the rank of Principal Secretaries, while the Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of important departments such as medical and health, tourism, education, transport, cooperative, food and civil supplies and agriculture were changed in the orders issued on Deepavali-eve on Friday. Meenakshi Hooja has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Governor, filling up the post which had been lying vacant for the past 11 months. Besides, the Divisional commissioners of Jaipur and Jodhpur and Collectors of Jalore, Pali and Alwar were transferred. The six IAS officers promoted as Principal Secretaries are Ashok Jain, Rohit Brandon, Rakesh Srivastava, Rajhans Upadhyay, Dinesh Kumar Goyal and Ram Khiladi Meena. While the Principal Secretary, Home, V.S. Singh, has been given the additional charge of Public Relations Department, Principal Secretary, Education, C.K. Mathew, was shifted to the Relief and Disaster Management Department. Rohit Kumar Singh, who was Secretary, Information Technology, has been shifted to the Rural Development Dept.
