DMK candidate records highest victory margin

CHENNAI: M. Krishnakumari of the DMK secured the highest victory margin in ward No: 153 (Velachery) in the elections to the Chennai Corporation Council that spanned 155 wards. The DMK candidate notched up 33,481 votes to win by a margin of 21,860 votes.

Another good win was chalked out by M Mohan of DMK who secured 13,795 votes more than P. Dillibabu of MDMK in ward NO: 63.

The closest contest was witnessed in ward No: 73, where K. Saraswati of Congress edged out Ilavarasi Muthu of AIADMK in ward No: 73 by just 14 votes.

Vijayakanth's DMDK secured substantial votes in the elections.
