Mystery shrouds death of 18-month-old baby

HYDERABAD:
An 18-month-old female baby was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her house at Ramanthapur on Saturday.
According to the police, child's mother G. Mallamma left the baby in the house and went to purchase vegetables at a nearby market.
When she returned home, she found her daughter dead. Mallamma alleged that one Kumar killed her baby as he was seen in the vicinity when she left to the market.
Deserted by husband
Mallamma, a native of Yadgir in Karnakata, came to the city two months ago after her husband Anand deserted her.
She works as a labourer in an underconstruction building at Ramanthapur.
The police said the mystery behind the case could be solved only after getting the post-mortem report.
