BANGALORE: Vishvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has issued show-cause notices to six colleges for disaffiliation because they do not have adequate infrastructure to run the colleges. According to a press release here, Nadigar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bangalore; SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bijapur; SCT Institute of Technology, Bangalore; Marata Mandal Engineering College, Belgaum; MS Engineering College, Bangalore and Basava Academy of Engineering, Bangalore have been asked to explain why they should not be disaffiliated. The Executive Council of VTU has recommended disaffiliation of Impact College of Engineering and Applied Science, as the reply received to the show-cause notice is not satisfactory.
