Roads neglected

Sir, — The serwvice road, behind the Hoodi-Whitefield Road and near Salarpuria G.R. Techpark and Brigade Techpark (both near ITPL), is in a pathetic condition. Foul smelling "treated waste water" clogs the drains and then overflow into the road.

While appreciating the focus given to techparks, the service roads should not be neglected. These unhygienic conditions lead to the spread of diseases such as dengue fever. I urge the authorities toconcerned to do something about this and ensure that Bangalore is free from these diseases.

Restore service

Sir, — Route No. 210A/276 which was usually leaves ISRO Layout at 8.15 a.m. has been withdrawn for the past three weeks.

This is causing inconvenience to office-goers and students as that timing was suitable for them. There is no bus service from ISRO Layout to Majestic from 8 a.m. to 8.45 a.m. which has put many commuters in trouble to reach their destination.

I urge the authorities to look into this matter. , restore the route 276 at 8.15 a.m. and introduce buses towards Majestic between 8 a.m. and 8.45 a.m.

Cheating in buses

Sir, — I am glad to hear that the BMTC is becoming more passenger friendly. Some conductors do not issue tickets to passengers who alight one or two stops from where they board the bus. They collect money from passengers without issuing a ticket. This is a loss to passengers and the BMTC. I request the authorities to look into this.

Representation

Sir, — There are various minority communities in Karnataka such as Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs and Parsis.

The Government should give the chairmanship of the Minorities Commission to every community on rotation so that all groups all benefited.
