BANGALORE: Congress leaders on Friday attended Iftar at the famous Hazrath Tawakkal Masthan Sab Dargah here. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president M. Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N. Dharam Singh, the former Minister R. Ramalinga Reddy and Gandhinagar MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao attended the Iftar. The leaders participated in prayers at the dargah located at Cottonpet here and later exchanged greetings with Muslim leaders. In a message, Mr. Kharge said the "holy month of Ramzan comes to end with Id-ul-Fitr being celebrated on Tuesday. On this occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, I convey my heartfelt greetings and best wishes. May this Id bring every one more of happiness and peace," he said. Mr. Dharam Singh, Mr. Reddy and Mr. Rao also extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of Ramzan. Ramzan marks the end of the month-long fast during which food and clothing is generously distributed to the poor by the devout among the Muslims. The Gandhinagar Block Youth Congress Committee organised the Iftar.
