Kannur: The Adventure Academy is joining hands with the Muzhappilangad grama panchayat for forming a `theera sena' (coastal force) for protecting Olive Ridley turtles. The `sena' will comprise four groups to take care of the turtles and offspring on the beach. Its activities, aimed at protecting the turtles, will go hand in hand with campaigns among the local people against use and destruction of turtle eggs.
