TIRUPATI: The statue of former Lok Sabha Speaker M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar will be installed in Tirupati, his native place, at a prominent location. A decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of a committee specially constituted for the purpose with M. Krishhaswamy (MK) as the chairperson and former Assembly Speaker A. Eswara Reddy, a close follower of Ayyangar, as the vice-chairman. The panel, which met here on Sunday, has tentatively identified the `Balaji Colony' junction as the possible venue for the erection of the statue. The committee proposed to get the life size statue erected by next Ugadi and appealed to all the departments concerned and like-minded people to help it accomplish the task.
