New Delhi
She believes in going into the skin of the character so as to look real on the silver screen. Hindi film actress Preeti Jhangiani, who made her debut in Yash Chopra's film "Mohabbatein" starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, believes in giving full justice to her character by doing proper research work. The bubbly actress is pinning a lot of hope on her upcoming film "With Luv Tumhara" directed by Kamal Nathani. Revealing that she is portraying a small town girl who lives in picturesque Manali, Preeti says: "In the film, I am teaching English language to the villagers. And I am in love with an Army officer, played by Nakul Vaid. When Nakul doesn't come back from the Kargil battle, my life takes a completely new direction and I go to Delhi. Praveen Dabas, who is Nakul's friend, wants to break the news that my man is missing. Whenever he tries to open his mouth, something comes in the way. Finally, when Praveen manages to tell me the truth, I am totally devastated." Preeti says the film was shot in one schedule.
"Sajna Ve Sajna"
She will also be seen in another new film, "Sajna Ve Sajna", that interestingly is a mixture of Punjabi and English. "There is also a British actress in this movie, which will be released in November," she says. The young actress, who has acted in the Bollywood blockbuster "Awara Paagal Deewana" and also an inconsequential Hindi film "Baaz: A Bird in Danger", is elated about an Indo-Pak project that boasts a big star cast. Besides Preeti, the film stars Vinod Khanna, Nafisa Ali and Arbaaz Khan. -- Madhur Tankha
