U.S. court rejects Ranbaxy's petition

NEW DELHI: In the ongoing patent battle over atorvastatin, Pfizer claimed on Tuesday that the U.S. Federal Court has rejected Ranbaxy's petition for rehearing of an August 2 decision, upholding exclusivity of the main patent covering the active ingredient in the cholesterol lowering drug Lipitor.
