Forester to be honoured posthumously

Thiruvananthapuram: The Forest Department has decided to honour a forester who died in the line of duty. T.A. Paul died in a vehicle accident on September 3 while he was escorting some persons arrested on the charge of illegally mining sand from the Chakakudy river at Vettilapara in Pariyaram forest range.

The Government has allotted Rs. 2 lakh from the Chief Minister's relief fund to the family of the deceased and promised a job for his wife. Minister for Forest Binoy Viswam has handed over the relief money to Paul's widow.
