CHENNAI: Hemang Badani has withdrawn his request for a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA). The left-hander, who is a part of the State Ranji probables, also attended a practice session at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. "I have given a letter to this effect to the TNCA. The State has supported me all along, from my junior days. I have done well for Tamil Nadu in the past and am looking forward to performing even better this season. It was great to be back at the Chepauk and be with my mates," he told The Hindu. "I had a talk with the TNCA officials and they were quite helpful. I have no issues with either the TNCA or the players," he added. He had earlier sought an NOC a mandatory requirement to represent some other State of his choice but his rather late request ran into a major roadblock since he had taken part in the Buchi Babu competition, which is viewed by the TNCA as a selection tournament.
