CHANDIGARH: The Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board on Tuesday launched its website, www.hsamb.gov.in, at Panchkula. Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said that the website would be benefit farmers and traders all over the world. He asserted that the State Government was committed to providing a modern infrastructure and facilities for agricultural marketing and marketing support to the farmers to ensure remunerative prices for their produce. He hoped that farmers would benefit from the website as they could easily access online prevailing marketing rates in Haryana for different commodities. The site contains all information about marketing infrastructure, marketing Act, rules and by-laws in the State. All schemes launched by the Board have also been displayed including a list of progressive farmers. It would also provide all information about construction activities being undertaken by the Board such as enlistment of contractors and complete tender documents. Mr. Chatha disclosed that the Board was also planning to introduce an online tendering system. The details of plots available in the agricultural markets and the procedure for their allotment are also available on the site.
