Kakinada : Amidst reports of top Maoist leader Sudhakar becoming seriously ill and being confined to the hideout somewhere in the agency bordering Visakhapatnam district, the anti-naxal squads have intensified the combing operations. "We have information Sudhakar was ill but not tracked his movements so far. The reports of his arrest by East Godavari police are baseless," said Velivela Satyanarayana additional SP, Operations. Speaking to The Hindu from Addateegala base camp in the agency on Tuesday, he said it was a common thing for the civil liberties organisations to come out with the demand for producing the arrested in a court of law, even though knowing fully well police did not arrest them. "We are eager to nab the Maoist. The fact remains that Sudhakar is safe. We are confident of tracking him soon," he clarified.
