`Vallavan' is 1000 ft shorter

Among the Tamil films released on Deepavali, `Vallavan' is the longest, running to about three hours. So the distributors urged the producers to cut down the length of the movie. Actor Silambarasan (Simbu), who is also the director of the film, first had his reservations about conceding to the request. But he has finally agreed to cut about 1000 ft of the film.

Meanwhile, industry circles are already discussing the good performance of all films, though no one is venturing to hazard a guess on which would come out on top in the box office race.
