BSNL scheme for live match scores

Cricket buffs can access live scores of matches in the ongoing Champions Trophy series thanks to a scheme by BSNL.

A BSNL landline or WLL phone can be used from anywhere in Chennai to get the updated scores, courtesy the Automatic Speech Recognition technology from Lattice bridge Infotech.

All that subscribers who access the `Speak-2-seek' info services have to do is dial 1255426 and say "cricket' to get the updates.

The package includes ball-by-ball score updates, match preview, man of the match contributions and leading batsman/bowler statistics for the series.

The scheme, which is on till November 5, has been launched following the success with the technology during the last India-Pakistan cricket series.

Besides cricket, say `News' to navigate through a range of national international, business and sports news, using voice commands like `next item' `previous item' or `exit' to quit. The service also offers astrology.
