Kochi: Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit K.S.Radhakrishan has alleged that a section of the cultural leaders were in the strong grip of a cultural mafia. Delivering the keynote address at the meeting organised to commemorate journalist and critic C.P. Sreedharan on Tuesday, he further alleged that such cultural mafia was hired to tarnish individuals in a heinous manner. He said that the leftist cultural leaders had not even cared to condemn the incident in which his daughter received a threatening letter. Even the former naxalite leaders such as Ajitha were trying to accuse him without ascertaining the facts. Congress leader and former Minister K. Sankaranarayanan inaugurated the meeting.
