Somali national deported

NEDUMBASSERY : A Somali national who had left for Colombo from the Cochin International Airport was deported back here on Tuesday night by the authorities there on the ground that he was carrying a forged Swedish passport.

Ahmmad Abdi Hassan had gone to Colombo on a Srilankan Airlines flight, UL 165, en route to Frankfurt on Tuesday morning.

He was, however, deported back by the Colombo authorities on the same airlines' flight, UL 167, in the evening.

Reportedly, he was carrying a forged Swedish passport in the name of Hussain Mohammad Abdi.
