Saudi Arabian entrepreneurs invited

Puducherry: Education Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan told newspersons here on Tuesday that he had invited entrepreneurs from Saudi Arabia to the Union Territory to study the possibility of setting up desalination projects here.

Mr. Shahjahan said there was also a proposal to treat sewage water and use the recycled water for washing and other purposes.

He said the silt produced as a by-product could be used for manure production.

He also said there was a proposal to institute a Corporation for the development of infrastructure here.

A separate cell would be set up in the Directorate of Education to give counselling and guidance to students to go in for new courses after their higher secondary such as courses in architecture, fashion design and journalism.
