PUDUCHERRY: The police here have received a complaint against Welfare Minister P. Angalan from his wife alleging torture and physical harassment. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Balla Hanumallayya told The Hindu that they had received the complaint on Monday. In her complaint, Kavi Priya, the second wife of the Minister, has complained that she was physically tortured and that he had asked her and the two children to vacate the house. She alleged that the minister wanted to marry for the third time and hence the harassment. She has further stated that she and her family were intimidated several times and sought police protection. The S. P said they were inquiring into the complaint.
