Tendulkar apologises

Ahmedabad: Sachin Tendulkar apologised and paid for the medical treatment of a security guard who was hit by his shot during a practice match, a Gujarat Cricket Association official said.

Tendulkar's shot sent the ball outside the Motera Stadium, hitting the private security personnel on his hand on Tuesday, GCA President Narhari Amin said.

"Tendulkar paid him Rs. 1,000 for treatment," he said. — PTI
