Students told to inculcate spirit of sharing

Bangalore: The valedictory function of the silver jubilee celebrations of Auden Institute of Education, Banashankari, was organised recently. M. Madan Gopal, Commissioner of Public Instruction, was the chief guest. He called upon students inculcate the spirit of sharing and caring. He also told them to have a cordial relationship with other students. Gururaj Karajgi, Director, Sambhav Education Trust, advised the students to follow the noble path to achieve success in life.

Some well-wishers of the institution and students who had secured more than 90 per cent in SSLC examination were felicitated. They received a cash prize of Rs. 1,000. G.P. Basavaraj, president of the institution, N. Ramanna, founder, and film director P. Sheshadri were present. Students presented a cultural programme that included group dance and a dance-drama.

Prize winner

Pranay Gupta, standard XII student of Ryan International School, Kundalahalli, emerged second and received a certificate at the city-level "TATA Building India" essay competition organised recently. He received the prize from Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde at a function held in Bishop Cotton Girls' School.

Programme

Students of Bangalore Public School, Indiranagar, participated in a "Parliamentary Education Programme" recently. Gnanashekar, chief coordinator of Crede, conducted theory and practical classes on the working of Indian Parliament for students of classes IX and X.

Students were taught in detail about the Indian Parliament, its history and its two Houses .
