Lokayukta with students
Delivering the S. Nijalingappa Endowment Lecture on "Role of students in the battle against corruption," he said he had visited 11 educational institutions after he took charge and the response from students was encouraging. The present generation must strive towards restricting corruption and build a platform for the next generation to eradicate it. Regretting the corruption among public servants, he said they must learn to live within their salary. He said successive governments had refused to grant permission to prosecute corrupt officials. This had made the Lokayukta a mere spectator.
