KADAPA: A two-day training camp would be organised for para-legal volunteers from October 28 at Nyaya Seva Sadan on the district court premises, according to District and Sessions Judge M. Vijayalakshmi. Talking in a press conference on Thursday here, she said that fifty para-legal volunteers were chosen from among doctors, lawyers, teachers and voluntary organisation representatives in and around Kadapa and they would be trained at the camp being organised jointly by Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authority. Sadassus would be held to enlighten them on justice, laws, Constitutional rights of people and other relevant aspects, she added.
Other training
The para-legal volunteers would also be trained on rights of women, children, SCs/STs and to settle minor disputes without moving courts, besides rights and responsibilities of accused, enrolling child labour in schools, Right to Information Act and social evils such as ragging, Ms. Vijayalakshmi stated.
