Law to check misuse of Government vehicles

Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Government will frame a legislation to prevent the misuse of Government vehicles, Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan has said.

Replying to questions in the Assembly on Thursday, Mr. Achuthanandan said if any specific instance of misuse of Government vehicles by Ministers or officials was pointed out, the Government would initiate action.

Labour Minister P. K. Gurudasan said a law would be drafted for the welfare of private hospital employees. The previous Government had exempted private hospital employees from the purview of the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act.
