Jalandhar: Punjab police would screen video recordings of the clash between two Akali factions during a religious function at Kathunangal to book those involved in the incident. ``We are not going to spare any person of any political party and those who indulged in the clash will be booked after screening of the video recordings to be obtained from different news channels,'' Director General of Police S S Virk told reporters here.

Mr. Virk rejected the charge that the police was a mute spectator during
``Moreover, in such kind of religious function, police has a limited role to play,'' he said adding now onwards police would take more precautionary measures at such functions to avoid any untoward incident. Asked which Akali faction was at fault, the DGP evaded a direct reply.
