Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Thursday ruled out early elections in the State, saying the Government is enjoying full majority. ``The Government is enjoying full majority and would complete its term,'' Mr.Singh told reporters while dismissing reports in the media that early polls will be held as ``wrong and baseless''. The Chief Minister, who returned from New Delhi after meeting the party leadership, said the matter was not discussed with the high command and Central leaders during his visit. The Assembly elections in the State are due in February 2008. Referring to the proposed rally of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi at Dharamsala on October 30, Mr. Singh said Dharamsala had been chosen as a venue for the first meeting, keeping in view its political and strategic importance. ``We have invited Sonia Gandhi to address the rally at Dharamsala and it is wrong to associate the rally with a particular section of the party,'' he said adding similar rallies would be held in other places like Shimla, Solan, Una, Chamba, Mandi, Hamirpur and Kullu. The Chief Minister said Ms.Gandhi was very keen to go to tribal areas and the visit would be planned when weather conditions were conducive. PTI
