Contractors maintaining streelights fined

HYDERABAD: The MCH has imposed penalty of Rs. 30,000 till date against contractors involved in maintaining streetlights in the twin cities because of glowing of lights during day in some parts.

Special teams that undertook inspection in all 13 packages identified 304 day-glowing points among the 1,27,000 points. The corporation said faulty timers would be repaired. It warned contractors that stern action would be taken against those who do not maintain proper timings.
