Youth killed in lightning

KOCHI: One person was killed when lightning struck him on Thursday evening. Bilji, 26, a painter, was returning home on his cycle, when he fell off as he was hit by lightening. He died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Man run over

A man was run over by a train at the South Kalamassery overbridge. The unidentified body was kept at the General Hospital.

One killed

In an accident near Sasthamugal, under the Puthenkurisu police station, one man died when a lorry rammed into a wall while taking a turn. Two others in the lorry, Shiju Mohan and Renjith, were admitted to the Medical Trust Hospital and General Hospital respectively.

The police said that all the three were from Chertala.
