KOCHI: The loco running staff has demanded implementation of the recommendation of parliamentary standing committee for railway security on reducing the working hours to eight. The demand was raised at the two-day Southern Railway region meeting of All-India Loco Running Staff Association, which began here on Thursday. The meeting also demanded implementing weekly off for loco pilots. K.A.S. Mani, national vice-president of the association, inaugurated the meeting. Secretary general S.K. Dar delivered the keynote address. Around 150 office-bearers of the association from Chennai, Madurai, Thrissinappally, Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram divisions of Southern Railways attended the meeting.
