Science exhibition

The Bangalore Association for Science Education will conduct a three-day exhibition, "Science in action," from Friday. Nearly thirty experiments on Bernoulli's principle, and concepts such as optical illusion, chemical garden, and conservation of momentum will be on demonstrated. It will be held between 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Jawarharlal Nehru Planetarium.

Eye camp

Shraddha Eye Care Trust will be conducting a free eye screening and surgical camp between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Sri Sai Dispensary, Giri Nagar, on October 28. Applications invited

The Backward Classes Welfare Department has invited applications from candidates for grant of financial aid to receive coaching for Karnataka Administrative Service main examination. The aid will be given to 40 candidates. The applications, along with caste certificates, should be submitted to the office of the Director of the Department on Nrupatunga Road. Builders fined

As much as Rs. 3,03,057 has been collected as fine from builders who had dumped construction material and sand on roads and footpaths in areas within the jurisdiction of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) Chief Engineer (South), a BMP release said.

Demolished

A temple structure under a banyan tree in 13th cross of 6th main, BTM Layout 2nd Stage, was demolished by the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force on Thursday. It was constructed adjacent to a Bangalore Mahanagara Palike park by some residents of N.S. Palya, a BMP release said.
