Six arrested in raid

MANGALORE: Personnel of the District Crime Intelligence Bureau and the Women's police station, led by Police Inspector T.B. Rajanna, raided a house at Kandettu in Padavu village near here and arrested six persons, on the charge of abetting and indulging in prostitution. The police also seized a car and three mobile phones from the accused.

The arrested are Jagannath Poojary (26) and Vasanth Naik (22), from Puttur, Jayaram Poojary (30) from Hebri in Karkala taluk, Harish Kumar (32) from Suratkal, Sheela (25) from Kolkatta and Renuka (24) from Chamarajanagar. Mr. Dayananda said the case has since been handed over to Women's police station.
