Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress will launch a campaign against the West Bengal Government on the issues of alleged forcible acquisition of farmland for setting up an industry at Singur in Hooghly district and supply of defective diagnostic kits by a private company to regional blood banks in the city. Party leader Mamata Banerjee said here on Friday that demonstrations would be held outside the central blood bank on November 1. On the land acquisition issue, a two-month "non-cooperation" movement would be launched including a "Dandi March" from the city to Singur on November 17.
