Heavy rain

Puducherry: Normal life was affected in the Union Territory owing to incessant rain since Thursday. Administration declared holiday for Friday for all schools and colleges including private institutions. PWD sources said that during the last three days Puducherry experienced 12.3 cm rainfall. Chief Minister

N. Rangasamy told newsmen that the PWD and Local Administration Departments were geared for any exigency. Control rooms were operating in these two departments. Government also declared holiday for all schools and colleges in Puducherry on Saturday.
