Puducherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy told newsmen here on Friday that the Directorate of School Education would distribute free umbrellas to all children from standard I to VIII in Government schools. It would involve an expenditure of Rs 95 lakh. He said the scheme would be launched on October 30. Around 1.20 lakh students will benefit.
