PUDUCHERRY: The police have identified the boy whose partially decomposed body was found stuffed in a sack and floating in the Ousteri Lake on Thursday. Police said Venketash was a XI standard student of Arul Sastha Higher Secondary School in Reddiyarpalayam. He was found missing from October 23 and his parents had filed a complaint at the D. Nagar station. Inquiries so far revealed that he was a cricket player and represented Puducherry in the under-15 category at the national-leve, according to the police. Police have registered a case of murder.
