Praveen and Vasudevadas shine

HYDERABAD: Centuries by Praveen Srivastan (113, 168 balls, 13 x 4) and K. Shri Vasudevadas (109, 118 balls, 11 x 4) helped Tamil Nadu declare the first innings at 400 for seven in 79 overs against Goa on the first day of the three-day South Zone inter-state (under-22) cricket tournament at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal) here on Friday.

In reply, Goa was 29 for no loss in nine overs at close of play.

The scores:

At Gymkhana: Hyderabad 221 for eight in 90 overs (D.B. Ravi Teja 30, Rushi Raj 51) vs Kerala.

At Uppal: Tamil Nadu 400 for seven decl. in 79 overs (H. Gopinath 58, Praveen Srivatsan 113, K. Shri Vasudevadas 109, S. Suresh Kumar 33) vs Goa 29 for no loss in nine overs.

At ECIL: Andhra 270 for four in 90 overs (J.T. Yadav 73, A.G. Pradeep 68, V. Sandeep 48, B. Sumanth 47 batting, Gaurav Dhiman three for 41) vs Karnataka.
