AKGS pips IMNS

KANNUR: AKGS Government HSS (Pinarayi) prevailed over IMNS Government HSS (Mayyil) 6-5 via the tie-breaker in the inaugural match of the Vasuvettan memorial inter-school football tournament here on Friday.

The teams were level 1-1 at end of regular time after Vimal Vinod put AKGS ahead in the first half. Anoop scored the equaliser for IMNS.

In another match, Government Welfare HSS (Cherukunnu) defeated Azhikode HSS 2-0 with Ebil (18th) and Sanoop (53rd) scoring.
