GREATER NOIDA (Uttar Pradesh): Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia fired eight birdies after an opening-hole bogey and returned the day's best seven-under 65 for a two-round aggregate of 135 to lead with two others in the Rs. 70-lakh BILT Open golf championship at the Jaypee Greens here. Rahul Ganapathy who started the day in joint lead, shot a 69 to remain second to none at the halfway stage. Amateur Chirag Kumar continued his dream run by shooting a 66 and kept company of the two professionals at the top. Jyoti Randhawa was a shot off the leaders after a 70. Chowrasia hit the ball very well and concentrated on reaching the greens in regulation. Having kept his Asian Tour card, Chowrasia played without any pressure and putted confidently. Ganapathy missed a number of birdie opportunities and settled for a 69 after losing his way somewhat on the back-nine. Chirag had seven birdies besides a bogey on the 18th. The `cut' came at six-over 150 and kept 61 players in the fray over the weekend. The scores: S.S.P.
