ALLAHABAD: Describing discharge of untreated domestic sewage as the single biggest reason for the alarming pollution levels in the Ganga, Uttar Pradesh Environment Minister Ujjwal Raman Singh on Friday accused the accused the UPA Government at the Centre of non-cooperation with the State in solving the problem. ``While local factors like heavy concentration of tanneries in Kanpur may be contributing their bit in increasing pollution in Ganga, a study by a committee set up by the Allahabad High Court has concluded,'' Mr. Singh told reporters here. - PTI
