`NamaSmaran' from today

Bangalore: "NamaSmaran 2006" will mark the celebrations of Sri Purandaradasa Jayanthi and Sri Gopalakrishna Bhagavathar Jayanthi for the sixth successive year.

The events will be held from Saturday to November 6 at Seetharama Mandir on Gangadhara Chetty Road near the Ulsoor Lake. Twenty artistes of Namasankeerthan School will participate. "NamaSmaran" is a programme where traditional "bhakti music" is rendered to help people understand its significance in Indian culture.
