THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Central security agencies and the Kerala Police would undertake operations to detect those behind extremist activities in the State, Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan said here on Saturday. Briefing presspersons after a Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister said there had been indications that Pakistan-sponsored forces were operating in Kerala and other parts of the country. This called for stringent measures. The Director-General of Police was leading the investigation into the threats to the lives of President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh received through e-mail. The police were questioning some people in Kozhikode in connection with the terrorist plot unearthed in Mysore.
