Randhawa takes lead

GREATER NOIDA : Jyoti Randhawa produced three birdies on his home-nine for a four-under 68 and snatched a one-stroke lead over Singapore's Lam Chih Bing after the third and penultimate round of the Rs. 70-lakh BILT Open golf tournament at the Jaypee Greens here on Saturday.

Randhawa's tally stood at 12-under 204 after this third successive sub-par round while Lam Chih Bing carded the day's best 67 with six birdies for an aggregate of 205.Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia and Rahul Ganapathy, two of the three overnight leaders returned par rounds and shared the third spot at 207.

In fact, Ganapathy had moved into sole lead at 13-under after four birdies on the front-nine. However, he lost his way on the back-nine and dropped four shots spread over as many holes after two bogeys and a double-bogey.
